Helicopter Flights Direct from your Event

Make your special event one to remember with a Pleasure Flights Package from Rise Helicopters! Passengers enjoy a scenic flight in one of our Executive Charter Helicopters, taking off and landing directly within your own venue.

Even though such an exciting attraction will provide you with valuable publicity opportunities and help you to boost your attendance figures, you pay nothing for us to attend. In fact, we pay you in the form of commission for every fare-paying passenger you introduce to us.

Bird's Eye View of Your Venue and Beyond

Passengers will take off from your site for a thrilling Executive Helicopter Flight lasting approximately five minutes and covering around ten miles. The flights will be in an Executive Bell 206 Jet Ranger, the same helicopters that we use for Executive Personal and Business Charter, carrying up to four passengers on each flight - great for families or groups of friends wanting to fly together. We'll fly at a height of approximately 1,500 feet and cruise at a speed of about 120 mph, giving passengers a panoramic view of the show site and the surrounding local area.

Your Flight Package

Our flights operate on an adult and child fare system with concessions for OAPs and disabled passengers. We'll pay you commission per fare and we'll agree commission rates with you in advance.

In addition, you'll receive one free flight for up to four people during the day. It's entirely up to you how you use this flight. For example, you may decide to offer it as the star prize in a raffle, or as a reward for staff or helpers. Alternatively, you may want to use it for obtaining aerial photographs of your event.

If you want us to help you with additional requirements, such as flying a celebrity to your event, we'll be happy to do so. We'll agree fees for such extras with you in advance. If you prefer, it may be possible to offset additional fees against your commission payments, and we'll be happy to discuss this option with you.

Extra Touches

All children flying with us will receive a Flight Certificate signed by their pilot as a memento of their flight. Passengers can also purchase additional souvenirs from us, including Rise Helicopter badges and baseball caps - along with disposable cameras to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to capture on film the special moment when they take to the air!

Professional Flight Management on the Ground and in the Air

All we need from you is a suitable site to operate from, and a simple land owner's permission form and completed emergency services form. Thereafter we'll take care of all logistics, including setting up the operating site and running flights throughout the day.

The Operating Site

We'll need an obstruction-free area of approximately 275 metres long and 30 metres wide for the approach and departure of the helicopter. Within the area we'll rope off a site of 100 metres x 30 metres for use as the landing pad.

Please note that we're not permitted to fly directly over any car parks, buildings or the show site itself on approach or departure to the landing site. Unless the site has been cleared for Charter Helicopter Operations previously, or we can determine its suitability from site plans and maps, we'll need to visit the proposed area prior to the event to confirm it fits the bill so we can obtain Civil Aviation Authority approval. It would be a great help to us if you could provide us with a grid reference from a local ordnance survey map, along with a site plan showing the layout of the site and the general surrounding area.

Running the Flights

On the day, you can relax in the knowledge that the running of your special flight attraction is in expert hands. Our team will set up the site, act as safety officers and assist passengers when they are embarking and disembarking the helicopter. In the air, our pilots will be happy to talk about how the aircraft is controlled and to point out any interesting landmarks. All of our team are very friendly and approachable, so your passengers will feel happy and at ease and really enjoy every moment of their flight.

Safety and Insurance

All Rise Ground and Flight crew are trained in Fire & Rescue and First Aid, and we provide full emergency and safety equipment to Civil Aviation Authority requirements.

We carry insurance to full Public Transport Category requirements, providing cover up to £10,000,000 for any one incident. A copy of this insurance is available on request.
