CPL(H) TRAINING

Two students have recently successfully completed their training for the Commercial Pilots Licence (Helicopters) with Rise Helicopters. We would like to congratulate them on this achievement and wish them both the very best of luck in finding suitable employment in the very near future.

EXECUTIVE CAMPING!

Looking for a novel way to go camping in the British countryside - do as one of our self-fly hirers has recently done and hire a helicopter to fly to your chosen campsite! A great weekend was had by all, despite the rain and the friendly cows!

LONDON HELI LANES

Taking advantage of the weather and the experience of Mike Buckland, a number of our customers have enjoyed seeing the sights of London from the air. The Helicopter Lanes are a great way to avoid congestion charges and with a great view thrown in.

LUNDY

Have you ever flown over the wonderful and isolated island of Lundy? Do you know where it is? One of Rise’s intrepid Self Fly Hirer’s teamed up with Mike Buckland to search and locate this beautiful Island situated 12 miles off the coast of Devon. Lundy is the biggest island in the Bristol Channel.

WYE VALLEY

Rise Helicopters are ideally situated to enjoy the stunning geography of the South West. A couple of customers have ventured down the beautiful Wye Valley recently. The flight picks up the River Wye and its associated valley at Chepstow, following the river over Tintern Abbey and leaving the River at Ross. A great Helicopter Trip.

FTO status proving popular

Our FTO status has been proving very popular with people wishing to do a type rating from the R22 to the R44 - a number of our Self Fly Hirers who completed their PPL(H) training here at Rise have already done so, with the R44’s now proving very popular for days out with friends and family. A minimum of 5 hours plus test is all that is required, so if you are thinking of doing it, just give us a call!
