Robinson R22 – 2 Seats (Pilot +1)

Helicopter Trial Lessons carried out in the Robinson R22 include a 20 minute one to one pre-flight briefing on basic helicopter procedures and the use of aircraft controls. Once airborne, you will be introduced to level flight, turns, power changes and hovering. Flight time will be 30, 45 or 60 minutes.

Discovery Day

If you would like to experience more than our Trial Lessons offer without fully committing yourself, maybe our Discovery Day would be more appealing. If you have no fear of flying and you’ve experienced helicopter flight before, then this is definitely for you. The Discovery Day allows you to spend a day with your instructor, meet our staff and other students and experience 2 ½ hours at the controls of the Robinson R22 helicopter. You will be given full pre and post flight briefings for each of the flights. We will teach you to fly the foundation manoeuvres including level flight, turns, climbs, descents, speed and power changes. You will also be introduced to hovering- perhaps the most challenging and fun part of Helicopter Flying.
It is a great day out, focused and rewarding- we will even buy you lunch!
